The Duroc is a breed of pig native to the United States, the result of crossing Red Jersey and Old Duroc.
This ham has been cured in Ogíjares, a small town in Granada located at more than 700 meters above sea level, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. The mountain climate, cold and dry in winter and warm in summer, is ideal for the natural curing of hams and sausages.
